How to create a Phishing Baseline

Last updated on Feb 07, 2025

A phishing baseline is to get a snapshot of the current phishing risk of your organisation. These are done as a 'silent simulation' as a 404 error as your landing page.

When sending a phishing baseline it is a small sample size to 10% of users. This is done by a opening baseline at the start of the year for your current risk and a closing baseline at the end of the year.

Phishing baseline we send is the TEMP 019 - Spam Manager email template. Below I will show how to send a phishing baseline and a screenshot of the email template

How to send a phishing baseline

Firstly, to manage phishing campaign are located under Manage > Phishing > Campaigns

  1. Create a new campaign

  2. On the screenshot below it will show what email template and URL to use when creating a phishing baseline. TEMP 019 we use the domain 'spam-manager.co.uk' from the dropdown box.

  3. You should always send a test email to yourself before you schedule any simulation. For groups make sure you send it small sample size of your organisation (10%)
